More birthday cards

Just a quick post today - no kids and a delish white hot chocolate waiting for me!

I got inspired by the new logo for a friend's shop (Wishes & Dreams, in Moonah - go check it out!) and I made this birthday card last night. The Forever Young set really isn't a "me" set, but for some reason I love it! I also used the current sketch challenge at The Friday Mashup to help with the layout - go have a look at the other cool entries!

I also made this one, which I CASed from Julie Davison's blog - I think she got the idea from her upline. I've used the little bird from the Best of Everything set a lot, but I haven't done much with the other stamps. These strawberries are too cute!

More brayering!

Just a quick post with my latest attempt at brayering...I'm not sure if I'm actually getting any better at it, but it's lots of fun trying :)

Hopefully my next post will be some instructions on how to make the mini folding scrapbook I posted a few days ago.. fingers crossed the children stop fighting long enough for me to get it done!

JAI #87

I have decided that I absolutely love the new in colours and am using them on almost everything at the moment! So when I saw the Just Add Ink colour challenge for this week, I had to have a go :)

My card is not exactly the way I want it, but I just haven't got the time to re-do it at the moment. I have a lot of things to prepare for this weekend with a playgroup fundraiser, a craft event for our local Christmas pageant, and getting my darling husband ready to leave on a 2 week business trip! Not to mention trying to mentally prepare for two weeks of being a single mother to a 6 year old, a 5 year old, and 18 month old twins! Some times I wonder how I ever get anything done ;)
Anyway.. enough of the drama, on to the card!!

Stamp Sets: Tiny Tags, Best of Everything, Pocket Silhouettes, Create a Cupcake
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo
Inks: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Versamark
Accessories: Top Note die, Beautiful Wings embosslit, Square Lattice ef, Chantilly Lace, Pearls, White ep, Jewelry Tag punch, Calypso Coral designer printed brad.

I quite like easel cards... they appeal to my love of the 3d projects.
Bronwyn Eastley makes amazing easel cards - she showed a few in her presentation at the Tassie regional using the two tags die, which is now on my wish list! I think I'll have to practice making some more, so stay tuned!!

It's photo time!

I've been a bit slack in taking pics of my recent creations, so as I have a bit of a quiet day today (thank goodness for childcare!) I thought I'd catch up.

Some of these are still works in progress.. I want to make a few tweaks here and there, but I figured I'd post them as much to remind myself as for you lovely people to make "oooohh" noises over :)

I'm planning to have a Christmas workshop thingy in early November where people can come along and make a few cards and other things, and a couple of these projects I thought I might use for that.
If you would be interested in booking a spot, please feel free to leave me a message and I'll post more details in a little while.

And now... on to the photos!
